Please Note: If your ring has stones set along the shoulders or around the shank i, resizing can sometimes cause side stones to loosen. We offer a stone tightening service for any loose stones, with a charge of £10 per stone.
For rings that are only being resized down by 1-2 sizes, tightening is usually unnecessary. However, if resizing down by 3 or more sizes, it’s common for a few stones to need tightening.

The prices below are for simple breaks where no metal needs adding. For new 1/4, 1/2 full shanks we will need to have measurements and weights of your ring in order to provide a quote.

Retipping & Reclawing i
Over time, the metal on your jewellery naturally wears down. It’s essential to keep the claws on any jewellery in good condition to ensure your stones remain secure. Claw work is charged at £20 per claw. We always need to inspect each item under a microscope to assess the condition of the claws and determine what, if any, work is required. Sometimes they just need tightening; other times, retipping or even full replacement is necessary. To receive a quote, simply send your item to us using our Request a Free Quote service.
Replacing missing Stones
If you’ve lost a stone from your jewellery and need it replaced, or if you have the stone and need it reset, we’ll need to see the piece in person to provide an accurate quote. This allows us to assess why the stone came loose, identify any claw or setting work required (if applicable), and source a perfect match if a replacement stone is needed.
Stone prices can vary significantly, and they are measured to the tenth of a millimetre, so we recommend using our Request a Free Quote service for the most accurate assessment.
